All ceremonies are performed under the authority of Celebrating Life Ministries.

Basic Signing Ceremony
10—15 minutes
A brief, legal signing ceremony — perfect for couples who want a friend or family member to lead the celebration itself, or for destination weddings where the legal piece happens separately. This can take place almost anywhere: a coffee shop, a park, your home. Simple, meaningful, and done right.

Small Gathering Ceremony
Intimate • Under 30 Guests
For couples who want something intimate — a small circle of the people they love most. This ceremony satisfies all legal requirements and includes the exchange of rings and vows. After the ceremony, I handle filing your marriage licence with the Office of the Registrar.

Simple, Short & Meaningful
20–25 Minutes · Any Size
A modestly customized ceremony for larger gatherings. Includes a 30–45 minute online planning session, unlimited text and email exchanges, and a ceremony held at the location of your choice. I register your marriage with the Marriage Registry Office of Ontario afterward.

Full Custom Ceremony
Fully crafted · Uniquely yours
This is where we build something truly yours together. It begins with a couple's questionnaire and a guided conversation through it — including a look at potential points of conflict that every couple benefits from discussing early. Then comes a face-to-face planning session, a range of ceremony options, and a full draft I send you in advance so we can refine every word together. After the ceremony, I handle all paperwork with the Registrar's Office.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who gets the marriage license?
Each couple is responsible for obtaining their own marriage licence before the ceremony. I'm happy to answer questions about the process, but you'll need to apply through your local municipality.
How do I hold my date?
Dates are reserved with a 50% non-refundable deposit. I'd recommend reaching out as early as possible — popular dates fill up quickly, especially in the spring and fall.
What about sound and amplification?
Site details, including any amplification or sound setup, must be confirmed in advance and are the couple's responsibility. I'm happy to advise on what works well for different venue sizes.
What if the ceremony runs late?
A $100 delay charge applies for delays of 30 minutes or more due to late arrivals of wedding participants. We'll discuss this in advance so there are no surprises.
Can we have photography and video?
Professional photography and videography is not only welcome — it's encouraged. The one request is that professionals remain non-invasive during the ceremony. Guest photography during the ceremony is at the discretion of the couple.
Are there limits to what the ceremony can include?
Some aspects of the ceremony may be subject to the guidelines of Ken's licensing body, Celebration of Life Ministries. This rarely affects couples, but we'll work through any questions together during the planning process.
